My involvement in municipal politics began in 2003 when concerns about neighbourhood issues inspired me to run for Charlottetown City Council. I went on to serve two terms, chairing the Planning and Heritage Committee for five years and the Downtown Revitalization Committee. During my time on Council, I championed neighbourhood safety, downtown revitalization, heritage preservation, and the growth of Charlottetown’s arts and culture sector.

In 2018, I ran for mayor of Charlottetown, finishing second in a competitive race.

I recently retired following a career in communications, politics, and media. Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud mother of three grown children and grandmother to two grandchildren, with a strong commitment to the community I call home. I lead an active, engaged life and enjoy the many recreational and cultural opportunities that make Charlottetown a wonderful place to live.
