Growing up in PEI Ryan fostered a love of sport and the outdoors. After Holland College he moved around New Brunswick and Ontario,finding friends who welcomed him into communities. After years of missing family Ryan leaped at the opportunity to join ScreenScape and return to Charlottetown. Settling on Gay Avenue. Ryan met his wife shortly after returning to PEI and they have been blessed to raise two children here.

Ryan's Technology career allowed continuous opportunities to grow and adapt. From overwhelming workloads and complex issues to working day and night. With constant change he fostered strong bonds and lasting friendships. Professional and personal missteps and setbacks were humbling and grew trusted relationships. Parenthood being the most rewarding adventure. Watching his children grow deepened his self-awareness and confidence. Teaching him to listen and learn without judgement, ask questions with ‘Radical Candor’ (a book he highly recommends), and accept guidance openly.
